Since 1978 Northern California Family Center (NCFC) has been providing intensive clinical, shelter, and referal services for runaway, homeless, neglected and abused youth in Contra Costa County.
We have provided an astounding number of services over 34 years 
2,240 families  in counseling
6,750 family emergency consultations
1,050 youth placed in emergency foster care

In the last year we have had zero cases where a child ran back to the streets. In the last three years we had only 4 cases out of 210 in which the youths returned to the streets. read more

Our next fair will be in January 2016.

NCFC provides five services
: (1) Youth Outreach services for run aways, primarily through the Safe Place Program in Contra Costa and Solano Counties, including an emergency telephone hotline;(2) 24-hour accessible short-term shelter for runaway and home¬less youth;(3) Crisis counseling and family mediation with runaway and home¬less youth; (4) Psychotherapy with families and children;(5) Long-term foster care for children aged 1 through 17 years, who may be referred by Child Protective Services.
